Will Bill O’Reilly really quit Fox News [sic] if Congress raises his taxes? Then what are we waiting for?

Glynnis MacNicol:

On his show last night Bill O’Reilly revealed that if Obama follow[s] through on his promise to raise taxes on the rich O’Reilly [will] quit his Fox show.

“If Barack Obama begins taxing me more than 50%, which is very possible, I don’t know how much longer I’m going to do this. I like my job but there comes a point when taxation becomes oppressive.”

Here’s hoping that the marginal rate that will ultimately be applied to Bill O’Reilly will be high enough to drive him into a retirement that is long overdue.

The vast majority of Americans, it should be noted agree with the President on this:

A new Gallup poll finds that 66 percent of Americans back President Barack Obama’s plan to increase taxes on the wealthy by allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire, while 70 percent back his plans to eliminate some corporate deductions.
