Reader mail: Is Guy “through yet” venting about politics and economics?

“Best Pecs in Texas” asks:

Question:  Are you about through venting yet, Guy? Because, this has been going on and on for days. It’s very depressin’.  It’s all doom and gloom. Enough already! I want more music.  Also I want better, more uplifting music — how ’bout a great tune like “It’s Raining Men,” for example, or something by The Village People? Those cuts may not be “classical” music in the dictionary sense, but they are musical classics, if you know what I mean. And they’re cheerful, you know? Also, how ’bout some photos of scantily clad beach dudes. The scantier the better.

Answer:   Notes and Rests is a family-oriented website, Best Pecs. So you’ll have to look elsewhere for the scantily clad. Also, Guy is not much of a Village People fan, to tell you the truth. But I think he can meet you half-way on most (not all) of the needs you have articulated. Stay tuned for tonight’s Rest, which we will dedicate to you and others who share your frustrations.

Also some advice for the future: For those times when you find yourself all stressed out by things beyond your control — like developments in Washington or Guy’s ceaseless venting about same, give the Stress Wiener a big squeeze. This fine foam rubber product — made by the geniuses behind the yodeling pickle — will help you laugh the stress away. You will be receiving one of these little items with our compliments as thanks for your question. There is no better answer to life’s frustrations than a good chuckle. So enjoy, Best Pecs. And thanks for writing!

About Guy N. Texas

Guy N. Texas is the pen name of a lawyer living in Dallas, who is now a liberal. He was once conservative, but this word has so morphed in meaning that he can no longer call himself that in good conscience. Guy has no political aspirations. He speaks only for himself.
