Who you callin’ a “hardcore socialist,” Mr. Koch?

Back in May, the Republican philanthropist and heir of a large oil fortune, David Koch, told New York Magazine the following:

“Obama’s a hardcore socialist,” Koch told us, “and he’s marvelous at pretending to be something other than that, but that is what I believe he truly is, a hardcore socialist. He’s scary to me.”

Hardcore socialist? Really? One wonders what Mr. Koch thinks the word means and what he thinks of his local fire department, police department, public library, airports, court houses, highways, and public schools? Where does he get his electricity, his water? Who hauls his trash away?

About Guy N. Texas

Guy N. Texas is the pen name of a lawyer living in Dallas, who is now a liberal. He was once conservative, but this word has so morphed in meaning that he can no longer call himself that in good conscience. Guy has no political aspirations. He speaks only for himself.
